Don't Purchase!!!
I am using clay pots from past 10years and it is used by most people down South. Tried purchasing it as it had lid and was suggested by #fittuber. Truly disappointed as it got cracks in first use. If it can not resist heat, then why it is called as a cookware.I soaked it in water a whole day and then filled it with rice water a whole night, greased with oil and even cooked in low flame, still got cracks. Please go with Ecocraft and craftsman clay pots as they sell the pots made in Kerala, they are heated in 1200degrees to resist high heats... I have used more than 10-15 clay pots in past, so i can easily suggest the best one even by looking. And this one is not at all a good one.. It can only used for storing curd or water. Please avoid!!

Leaking
Product was good but when filled with water, it started leaking slowly. So had requested for a replacement. After replacement, the same problem persists. Had given up on replacing again.

Beware before you buy.
Very honestly initially I bought the product I was happy and hopeful this will go way long and will be a great healthy option for cooking. But honestly the quality is pathetic to worse, tried to heat vegetable for few minutes and deep cracks appeared not just on surface but bottom as well. Water started to leak and left me completely disappointed. Wasted 325 /- on this poor quality Matki.Anyone plz mind quality is not such as to support proper cooking. Really really disappointed.Hope help others.

Good buy, good for health too
Been using it for a long time now, still good.I make most of my baby's food in it.I did a little bit research and found that these clay utensils need seasoning like the iron ones.So I had put this one in rice water for 3 days, after that I made rice in this pot, also put a lot of mustard oil and sauteed onions in this. After which this pot never smelled of clay againSo it's going good.
