2007 Chevy Equinox Rough Idle Resolution - Attempt
Car: 2007 Chevy Equinox Purchase Price: $21.57 Car Error codes: None collected; a couple times I believe it had codes, but they cleared, and the engine light went off. Car Symptoms: Intermittent rough idle; more often after a fuel fill; difficulty starting even more rare, but it did struggle to start once with a near empty tank. Predominantly, the symptoms occurred above 3/4 tank. This part seemed to be the most likely culprit, as the problems were related to fuel tank level and temperature changes, which could affect fuel tank vapor pressure. Installation was simple. The car started up cleanly after installing the new part. And it seemed to have an improved start. Driving the car also seemed a bit smoother, particularly at stops and accelerating from stops. This is just day one, so I'll continue to monitor and update this review if the problem is not resolved. 8/13/18 Update: My rough idle problem is not resolved. This really stinks. No error codes, but the rough idle persists. It usually occurs after the first start-up and drive; at restart, it might take longer to turn-over and exhibit the rough idle/hesitation from a dead-stop. I'm now looking at O2 sensors and MAP sensor. I'll leave 5-stars on this part. It fit well; easy to install; works as advertised. 8/18/18 Update: Just drove down to San Diego on 8/17. Picked up 3 error codes: P0404, P1779, and C0561, including Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control. Seems to be a known issue. All the errors are a possible result of P0404--EGR Valve Position Error. I would have ordered an AC Delco EGR, but nobody can get it to me within a week. So, I purchased a BWD EGR Valve ($70) from O'Reilly and just installed it. A couple of short drives and I'm not seeing the symptoms. I don't think it's a clogged manifold or a bad PCM circuit. The true test will be the drive back up to Northern California. 8/20/18 Update: Just drove 20 miles on the highway in San Diego. The Engine Light went OFF. Idle at stops is solid. No hesitation when accelerating from a stop. Problem seems to be resolved. 8/25/18 Update: Just drove 470 miles, San Diego to SF Bay area. No issues. Car drove very well. No return of rough idle, hesitation from a stop, or engine light.

Works!
Can't say enough good about it. My old oem one was stuck open and my truck ran like garbage. Took 5 minutes to install this and it runs like a sewing machine - didn't even have to clear any codes, thats how much the truck likes it. 05 silverado 5.3

Expected more features
For this price, expected more features. What's there works fine. But feels incomplete somehow. First impressions.

Good price fast delivery
Works as it should, easy 5 min install. I got this one replace the after market one I put on a year ago. Some times aftermarket works fine and sometimes you need to use oem.

Stick with genuine GM parts!
I bought this to replace a Dorman aftermarket purge valve that lasted about a year before causing a p0455 code in an 06 Silverado 1500 WT with the 4.3 vortec. The code is gone and no pending codes detected. I’ve learned my lesson and will spend a little more and do it with the right GM part the first time!

spend the extra bucks for a part that is in spec.
OEM is the only way. It's performance is unmatched for my 2005 Chevy Avy. Nothing but problems with AutoZone Delco Remy cheap parts. Finally bought an AC Delco GM part and problem solved.

Fits perfect 2005 gmc Sierra 1500 4.3l v6
I ordered this part for my gmc Sierra 1500 with the 4.3l V6. I was having problems when I would fill up my tank and then I would crank my car back up and would struggle starting it for at least 5 minutes. This issue was resolved with this new purge valve. It’s an easy install overall. The purge valve on the 4.3 is located toward the back of the engine it was a little hard to fit my fingers but once I loosened the bolt the install easy from there. My engine feels like it runs better now! I would highly recommend this👍🏽
