Two of the five units were defective but I needed to set two doors up for an inspection so I couldn't wait for a reorder. The sound is effectively loud. Depending on your door frame it may be a little tricky to align the two parts. Although, I did not purchase for windows I noticed that this product would not work on they type of windows I have, the two surfaces that each part sticks to really need to be flat with nothing between the connection. The adhesive does work, however one did fall off but may not have been installed right, I'm curious how they will hold up during the summer.

They fall off the wall/door/window seal with just the sticky tape they gave you, I used supper glue for mine and they're good.Worth the price, anyways

Arrived very beat up (dirty and looked used) but they work.

You can put this up in your window or door frame. You can use it to alert you to a kid or elderly person going outside unsupervised. It also works as a deterrent for intruders!! It’s so loud when it goes off a intruder will be spooked away!! I have one at my front door and my back door. Plus I put some in my windows. My daughter used to sleepwalk and we used it to keep her from roaming outside at night. Definitely a must have!! Great product and even better prices.

Decent price alarm not very loud can be purchased at Walmart for around the same price

They're pretty cheaply made and the adhesive made me have to glue the devices to the wall, as a few fell and broke with just the adhesive. Also, the spot where the magnet is varies on some of them, so you have to install it sideways instead of right side up, which can prohibit you from placing it, depending on how your door and frame are situated.
