Great for Tarantula
I got this product to ensure my tarantula had access to water while I'm away for a stray weekend. This gravity waterer caught my attention because I love Fluker's as a brand, and it doesn't disappoint. It's got a shallow dish so I don't have to worry about my buddy drowning, and it also has a little vent to prevent dirt or crickets from getting into the water storage compartment.

Small size dish.
Works as it should. Nice back up for going out of town. It is a small dish so if you reptile needs to soak this won’t work for anything of size by it’s self.

Great waterer for small furry pets.
I bought this for my cat as he hardly drank from his bulky, 3-liter waterer, which provides water for weeks! I guess the water gets stale and he likes it fresh, so I still had to place an additional bowl with fresh water that I change every other day. This waterer is a nice color, and the bottle screws on which makes it easy to refill and set up. There is a plastic mesh/strainer in the bowl, just between the mouth of the bottle and the actual bowl, to control the "flow," I think. It's a nice size for small cats and dogs, doesn't tip over easily, and it doesn't take up any space either. However, my cat still prefers his fresh bowl of water, and only drinks from this waterer on occasion. Oh well, at least he won't run out, if I forget to refill his regular bowl! Update, 7/4/08: The hole for the water to flow from the bottle to the dish is small and lower than the dish itself. Hence, it only automatically refills the dish when the water level is very low, and remains low (around 1/3 of the height of the dish) when refilled. I'd then have to tip the bottle forward a little to properly refill the dish to the rim. It's not a big deal, but if you're planning to be away for a few days without a pet sitter to check in on your pets, I'd recommend getting a larger/different waterer.

Great buy.
After being in the hospital for a week and having a hard time finding anyone to top up my leopard gecko's water bowl, I decided a gradual water dispenser is crucial. This thing is great for the price. It looks a bit out of place in my gecko's naturalistic setup but was a great buy. It takes up surprisingly little space, and the water lasts forever. I got the 16 oz and I empty and clean it once a week, and only a small fraction, maybe an eighth, of the water has been used during the week. I might purchase the 5 oz because the price is right and I would prefer the smaller bottle for visual purposes. Keep in mind it does have to be on a very flat surface to function right. I have loose substrate in my Leo's enclosure and it took some trial and error of flattening the substrate just right to get the bowl to fill, before that the water was disappearing and not filling. It's very easy to clean, the bowl material is very smooth and doesn't seem to get slime buildup like his old resin bowl. Love this product.

Perfect, sanitary water bowl for snake
I purchased this bowl because I was going out of town and wanted to make sure my snake had enough water to last the week. He had more than enough water. I find this water bowl doesn’t get slimy like other bowls I’ve used. It’s very easy to clean and stays fairly clean itself. I would say this is ideal for a smaller snake (young corn snakes, male hognoses, etc) and any snake that doesn’t like to soak. Also way less expensive on Amazon than the same product offered in chain pet stores.

Not Great, Not Terrible
I bought this for my gecko so she'd have fresh water while I was away on a short trip. While it did succeed in providing water for a full week while I was away, the water was faintly green with algae by the time I got back. The thing was a nightmare to clean, as well, with such a small water bottle and opening. It seems stable enough that most small pets won't be able to knock it over, even when it's full, though it is a little tall for my front-opening enclosure. Overall, I'd call this an occasional use kind of item. Definitely recommend a regular ceramic water dish for everyday use. But, if you're going to be away for a little while and don't want to risk the water drying up while you're away, I guess you could use this.
