Very functional camera
Love this camera for a few reasons: I can attach it anywhere, it has a very flexible arm, I can watch my baby from anywhere- even if I’m outta town- thanks to the camera app, I can even talk to my baby through the app. The camera itself looks nice, very high quality, and is easy to use/ navigate. On the app I can choose the area and ask camera to “watch “ closely that area, it gives notifications if there was a movement, cry or loud noise. It’s a must have camera especially for new moms. Don’t look any further 🫶🏽

Great baby monitor!
I love how easy it is to move this camera around from room to room and how small and compact it is to travel with. We had some issues with the cord and we emailed support and they got right back to us with answers. I also messaged them on instagram two separate times when I was having issues and they got right back to me.

After switching away from Lollipop, we can actually sleep.
UPDATE: Bumping own to 1 star as things have gotten worse over time. We started testing a different setup and realized how bad this camera was impacting our sleep on top of the other video problems. Essentially, there is no noise reduction, so there is a lot of static/ random noise that was always there (even when fans and humidifiers are off) . After switching to something else we started sleeping way better (our child's habits have not changed) and still can hear when the kiddo makes noise - we just only hear what we need to. Some of the things I mentioned before have gotten worse. The amount of lag and time spent waiting for the video to start you open the app is totally unacceptable. When the video feed does come in, it takes 5-10 more seconds be viewable after going through a number of bad-to-better video frames (on Android). We had tried the camera on a few different devices and found that one problem is that lollipop really doesn't put effort into Android (other users seem to have this issue too) - ipad - works ok, reasonable responsive, no camera artifacts / waterfall. Audio issues still exist - Android tablet - Video loading and playback issues. Laggy - Android phone - Video loading and playback issues. Laggy The total lack of customer service when we filed a ticket and seeing answers on their website demonstrate a lack of empathy for the user. It's not that they (likely) use lower quality wifi chipsets that is the problem. It's the many people complain of weak signal who are wrong - ok /s. Fo us, the Wifi signal in the same room is strong for every other device we have. Overall we are MUCH happier that we switched. The optical quality was good when it worked. Nightvision was really good - but its not worth losing more sleep over. ----Original Review ---- We wanted to love this camera and were initially impressed by the feel, build quality and premium unboxing. However, the signal is flakey even though (it's across the hall from our router) and constantly cuts into either * black screen * pixelated image * half ok/half waterfall (?) Imagie the bottom half of the screen being just a solid column of pixels. Randomly just turns off some nights but not sure if this is the app or the tablet. There has been a firmware update notification but it fails every time we try to update and our support ticket was closed with no response. So most of the time it's ok, but very annoying to get cutouts and screen artifacts consistently as well as the infrequent total dropouts.

Stylish, versatile, and finally a monitor that actually looks good!
We love this monitor. The Turquoise color is beautiful and matches our nursery perfectly. Being able to bend the stem to mount it anywhere is so much better than drilling holes in the wall. The app works great on my iPhone, and the notifications for crying are fast. The image quality is a crisp 1080p, and I really like the two-way talk feature to soothe the baby without walking into the room. It’s a very high-tech solution that doesn’t look like a piece of clinical equipment.

Great Camera! Would recommend.
I've had this camera for 3 months now and figured I've used the camera long enough for an accurate review. FYI - I'm a first time mom and a software tester, so I will be speaking about the camera/app from both angles. I absolutely LOVE this camera. When I was pregnant, I had done a lot of research and was going through reviews of all of the top, expensive monitors. I wanted to get something that had it all, but was extremely hesitant on the big price tags. Then, I came across this camera! I had read mixed reviews, especially with the app, but wanted to give it a chance. I break software for a living anyways and figured I could find some work arounds. I don't use everything that the app offers, but below are my opinions of what I do use. PROS: - Very easy to connect to the wifi and get everything set up. Very rarely do I have connectivity issues, even with the camera multiple rooms away from the wifi router - Both my husband and I can be looking at the monitor at the same time on our phones - Excellent camera quality - both during the day and night. Other moms have commented on this and were impressed when they saw it - Able to use the camera as a sound machine through the app which came in super handy when I didn't have one - LOVE that I can pop out the video pane and browse elsewhere on my phone while still seeing/hearing baby. - Love having recordings saved of events on the timeline - Cute camera that is very easy to place anywhere CONS: - Not the most user friendly interface - can be confusing figuring out what each symbol means and only certain functions can be accessed based on whether the camera's detailed/simplified view is selected. Once I figured it out it is fine, but takes longer to do what I want at times - Restarting the sound timer is cumbersome - I had to go reselect the desired timer for the specific sound so it would restart instead of having a restart button. There was also no option to just let it run infinitely until I tell it to stop. I don't use this anymore now that he is in his own room, but this would have been nice in the beginning - The sound machine aspect overwhelmed the mic once he moved into his own room and I needed to hear him (not much you can do about that and now I just use another device farther away) - The auto night vision sometimes shuts off and displays a black screen. However, this doesn't last longer than a few seconds and usually I do not need to see the video at night - If the camera loses connection while you have the camera in standby mode (camera off), it's very difficult to turn off standby mode once it reconnects. Nowadays I just keep the camera on always to avoid this, otherwise I have to toggle the mode, back out, go back and toggle again, and back out again. Very annoying. - The biggest con for me is when the camera loses connection and I had the background audio setting on (letting me still hear the audio when the app was closed or my phone screen is off), the setting is not retained when it reconnects. This is not a big deal during the day but is vital at night. I have once had the power blip off in the middle of the night and the app audio shut off. My son woke up and was crying for 30 minutes before I woke up to my silent phone (normally white noise is playing) and 10 crying notifications. Felt like the worst mom ever and baby was pretty shaken. This thankfully has only happened once, but it happened when I needed this most. This app really should retain the last used settings/set up the user had, even if it temporarily loses connection with the camera. I am docking a star for this alone as the other cons I have workarounds for. For me personally, the pros outweigh the cons as the big negative has only happened once. I enjoy the convenience of having the app on my phone, the video quality, and the features it has. The only connection issues I've had appear when the power goes out (we live in Florida and it is currently the rainy season) I love this camera and, looking back, would have bought it again. If this changes I'll be sure to update this review.

Good, reliable camera
I love this camera! It has the best resolution and a very stable app. I am able to see clearly my baby in a way that other cameras don’t allow. It also catches small noises that my baby makes, while blocking out the white noise, so when I get a notification it is truly because my baby needs me. I’ve had it now for 2 years and had a minor issue which was resolved. Essentially, I reached out to customer support due to a clicking noise which I heard on my phone (but inaudible in my baby’s room), and was advised to update the firmware on the camera, which resolved my issue immediately. I am pleased with the camera and feel that it is a great value for its money.

Great Camera for the Price!
We previously used (and loved) the Nanit, but when I had another baby and had to transition my toddler to a big boy room, I needed a different camera for him. I was hesitant to purchase the Lollipop given the mixed reviews, but I decided to go for it and am so glad I did! I ended up looping it on to one of the bookshelves in his room, which worked perfectly and gives me a great view of his bed. The wifi connection can be a bit slow, but overall, I found this ridiculously easy to set up and the picture (both day and night) to be very clear. My only gripe is that I thought a room temperature reading was built in to the app, but annoyingly, they make you buy a separate sensor to mount in the room in order to use that feature. Otherwise, you really can’t beat the quality, particularly at this price point!

Great Idea & Design | UI/UX needs Major improvement
Lollipop TLDR: Don’t buy this monitor. While its design is whimsical and minimalist, the overall execution of the features that matter on a baby monitor (seeing what you need to see, when you want to see it) fail to meet the most basic expectations. I was worried about the reviews that cited connectivity as a major frustration but succumbed to a lower price-tag. I have since returned the lollipop and went with the other, more expensive camera, and have NOT looked back. Baby Unit: The Camera Packaging - The lollipop has taken design cues from Apple in their packaging. Branding is creative and simple, and the box came with everything I needed to install the lollipop in one of the five different mounts. Image Quality - Decent, especially considering that the camera is a budget $150. Compared to some of its competitors, the Lollipop holds it’s own in this category fairly well. Night vision is decent, not the best, but you can see what you need to see. Mounting - We used the crib mount by twisting the tail around the crib rail. Placing the lollipop on our bassinet was difficult, it would fall quite often, oftentimes immediately after putting our baby down for the evening. Parent Unit: The App Connectivity - The camera functions over a wifi network. This is why we ended up returning the Lollipop camera. The connectivity between the Parent & Baby unit is atrocious. You are probably looking into a baby monitor and combing through reviews because you, like I, are most likely a first-time parent who wants some peace of mind when your baby is sleeping. This app will fail you on that front. The picture quality, mounting, etc… is rendered useless because of the connectivity problems. Often times, our app took 30+ seconds to load the image from the camera into the app/parent unit. About 25% of the time, the app would fail to load any audio/video and we would have to force close and reopen the app for it to work. The camera also only works on a 2.4 GHz, not a huge limitation, but frustrating if you’re trying to connect to 5 GHz. I run an eero pro mesh wifi system in our home and have no problems with other connected devices. After all of our troubleshooting, I do not fault our wifi for the problems I had with the Lollipop. Additionally, the lollipop does not travel well, and cannot connect to hotel wifi that has terms of use. App - The Lollipop app is very hard to navigate. There are small things that annoyed me like typos and grammatical errors which point to offshore development, but ultimately, the app is difficult to use because it’s not intuitive. There’s a steep learning curve to the app, but once you figure it out, you’re mainly able to find what you need. Again, there’s the issue with lag time. Navigating the app takes time, and pages take many seconds to load, something I have less patience for since its 2020 and not 2008… Background Audio - Another big selling point for us (in addition to the price tag being $100 less than the other monitor we were looking at) was the background audio feature. This ONLY works when the camera and phone are connected to the same wifi network. Because the camera consistently drops connectivity, we heard more silence than we did background audio, and the app HAS to be on and open.
