EMT Flashcard Book, 4th Ed. (EMT Test Preparation) Fourth Edition, Revised

Used to study for my NREMT. Passed my first try. The book was pretty informative and helpful.

Very useful and relevant to the NREMT exam. Great resource!

The flash card book style is so much better than I imagined. It made review and self testing easy and actually fun. Whatever I got wrong I just googled for more understanding. This was a great spring board to dive into my weaker areas. It is my most recommended resource for new, and recertifications right now.

I will starting EMT School in 3 weeks and want to get a head start . Picking up this book was the best thing I could have done . It has 400 flash cards that you can cut out , copy to other flash cards , or just flip through . I think this is a great way for people to either prepare for an EMT Course or review for their REMT Exam . Must buy.

For what it is and what it did for me for NREMT exam prep, it was awesome. I feel like it really prepared me for the exam itself - you can know the subject material and not be able to pass the test because it's a freaking mind game - choose the BEST answer for the given scenario. Some of the answers for these questions seem ridiculous, so this book helped me practice what to look for and how to "decode" the exam questions.This book isn't quite what I had expected. It's more like a 400 question practice test and not so much like the "flash cards" I had thought it was going to be; Usually, flashcards have a word on one side and a definition on the other - that sort of thing. However, I got through it and it helped give me confidence going into the test.One fault to mention is that there were a couple of similarly worded questions in different parts of the book that had contradictory answers.Example: "You are cleaning the ambulance after a call and you notice some blood on the hand rail of the gurney, what ratio of bleach solution should you use to clean it?"This question was asked twice in the book, worded slightly differently. One answer was a 1:10 ratio and the answer to the other was 1:100 ratio. When I tried Googling the answer, EMS sites all said both were acceptable... but the test will only want one answer! Which one?! Thus, I give this book a 4-star review.Beyond this, along with a few grammar and editorial errors, this book was great. I also highly recommend the NREMT Test Prep Crash Course book by the same publisher as this book. They are a companion set, in my opinion.

If you're going to take the EMT test, then these flashcards are exactly what you need. They are easy to use and they will thoroughly test your EMT knowledge before you take the test.

If you are studying to become a firefighter/EMT this will definitely help. I swear by it, I’ve pass all my test so far using this as a study guide. I like how the questions are on the front and answers are on the back and you can test yourself. You can write your answer on the line underneath the question but I keep it blank to retest without seeing the correct answer.

These little flash cards help a lot when entering the field of EMT/PARAMEDIC. Def recommend!
