Mummy's five minutes of peace
Bought for my grandchildren so they can all have their own choice of music loaded on and saves arguments. Perfect solution especially when they are in the car. Well worth the money

Either faulty or just plain useless, definitely not for audiobooks
What I wanted was a nice simple player to listen to audiobooks, no frills, just a nice easy machine. I saw the bad reviews and assumed others had expected to much or just got a dud one. I gambled. I lost.1. The machine opens at the music folder listing the sample tracks and some superimposed characters from another acreen. Possibly trying to display lyrics on the wrong screen?2. The volume was low, even up to 80%, until I went into the equalizer screen where it was very loud. So, I would need to stay in that equalizer screen to get any volume. Nice feature. I bet that catches on.3. I tested an audiobook and tried switching off to see where it would restart. Answer. Back in the onboard music folder. Tried a couple more times with the same result. I have over 160 books on an expansion card so manually having to retrace the folder, track and location everytime is pathetic.4. Upon receipt I charged the machione for 3 hours to see what sort of charge and playing time I would get. The blurb promises up to 70 hours. The battery fully discharged in under 4 hours!5. Tried three different expansion cards (I have a lot of books) of which only one was recognised. All three work in my old machine and two other players I tried them in to check.Add to that the confusing navigation, the left/right buttons need to be used to move up and down in the menus (not confusing at all!) and some nasty, cheap looking earphones (not used) then this is a complete disaster.True, I might just have got a bad one but the tide of similar complaints definitely make this a brand to avoid.Fortunately, Amazon have agreed to a return/refund.

Best item from Amazon!
I must admit, that I was a little concerned at the the price of this item, being drastically lower than similar items. But I ordered this as a present anyway, and I am so glad I did!! I loved it so much that I bought one for myself! It is lightweight, vibrant, has brilliant sound quality and is so easy to use! I will definately be buying more in the future!

Pretty good! Just one problem...
The only slight problem is one of the ear phones broke and i cannot put it back on, so now sound only comes out one of the headphones. However absolutely love this product! I take it with me all the time. Not bad price compared to others as well. Just thought I’d also say that the battery, before having to charge, lasts about 4hours but it’s advertised to last 70hours. Anyway I love how easy it is to use and everything it comes with. (I love the little games!) I found it so cool how your able to tune into any live radio station from any location. Overall, Worth buying.

Good value, but some inevitable limitations
For the price, this is a slick little MP3 player - the rest of the facilities, apart from the FM radio, which was surprisingly good, are probably a waste of space and make the interface unnecessarily complicated. It was a simple matter to drag and drop MP3s into its music folder, though quite slow to transfer.. It had an odd attitude to folders. It considered these to be albums, unless they had similar names (e.g. Bach 1, Bach 2), in which case it combined all the tracks into the same folder. I tried one folder with 941 tracks in, and it coped with this.Playing is fairly straightforward, though it took a little practice to press the right buttons to navigate - up and down in a list is the left and right buttons, not the up and down ones, while the down button, labelled VOL is the back button. There is no way to search for a particular track, so if you have a couple of thousand on here, you have to be happy with spending some time finding them, especially as the tracks aren't necessarily organised alphabetically. There is no shuffle facility, but you can set up to three playlists, though. The sound was fairly tinny, but considering the price, acceptable. The device has a nice silky feel. It was smaller than I thought it would be - around 9cm high. The only obvious cheap features in the finish are the control switch, which feels as if it is quite flimsy, and the screen icons/text, which are somewhat lumpy and low resolution. It's also fair to say that packaging (illustrated) does not suggest high quality. With this kind of device you get what you pay for - but it delivers a lot for the price, and if you wanted a cheap and cheerful MP3 player you wouldn't worry too much if it got lost or broken, it's a good option.

Faulty
Sound quality from the device is ok for emergencies and I was surprised it had built in speaker. It's very light, and a decent size. I haven't used the supplied headphones as I've attached it via AUX to an external speaker.During playback there are minimal functions - I have no shuffle, playlist or other options, only repeat one/all. Playback is not possible while charging. Took me a minute to find the switch on the bottom to turn it on, but it turns itself off after a set amount of seconds which can be adjusted. Battery life is as other reviewers have mentioned much lower than described, I've had about 14 hours or so without adjusting volume or skipping tracks. It's suitable for what I needed which is a back-up player for my SanDisc but given you can get much better for an extra £10 I would not recommend unless you want a very basic cheap device. I don't understand why there are so many extra tools with it - like picture, video, game, ebook. The screen is small so seems like a waste of space. There is no calendar or stop-watch tools as described.
