Freud 30-114: 1/2" Radius Cove Bit with 1/2" Shank

Sturdy, 1/2 inch shank minimizes flexing during the cut. Thick carbide didn't heat up, no burning the molding. Made a hundred feet of cove molding from old chestnut, easily, quickly.

Freud is one of the two brands of router bits I use, (currently own about 15 bits). Have never been disappointed with any Freud bit I have purchased.

Nice bit. Needed some 3/4 cherry cove for cabinets and it worked fine. I had to hand feed into my router but it did a great job. No burn and very little chatter although I did do three passes. Featherboards are a must. You have to go slow and steady because it will splinter the piece if you try to take to much or run it through too fast, but it will do a really nice job if your patient. Freud makes great bits.

This was a gift for someone else. They really like it, but realized they need more tools than they had to use it.

Freud just makes top of the line products, from router bits to saw blades. I'm a professional wood worker and without a doubt, they're the finest products on the market. You can't go wrong.

Had a cheap bit from a set. It chipped and burned. Replaced it with the Freud-Diablo and finished the job with clean smooth cuts.

Just made 400 feet of cove molding with this bit. Still sharp.

Substantial construction and very accurate sizing. Worked well on oak flooring with no chips or burrs. Glad to have purchased it.
