Q: For those who also tried the 30ltd, do you prefer the 30fcd? if so, why?

I started with the 30fcd because I have used other brands of traps that were narrower and had trouble catching some of the larger cats in my area. Figured I might as well start with the wider traps. The traps work very well and vets office finds them easier to work with than the snap shut style traps. I try to use the old style if I think there is a raccoon in the area because they tear up the traps so much. The traps aren't real long to get the width, so it fits in the back of my car better. I have been very pleased with the quality of the traps and recommend them to anyone that is trying to catch feral cats. I usually line part of the bottom of the trap with cardboard and use a cardboard box to cover the trap and make it look more like a cave for hiding in.

Q: Anyone have problems with trigger needing too much pressure to release? I’ve tried all positions with no success?

Yep on one of ours it just won't trigger regardless of Pam, position, etc and I can't get the company to reply

Q: Will this work for catching a large opossum?

Yes. If it works. I have 2 of these. They are certainly strong enough. One of these works great, the other is somehow set up wrong.l and I can't get it to reliably trip. Warranties mean nothing if you don't answer calls or emails. But it is the strongest trap.

Q: I read where this trap won't work on kittens or a pregnant mom. Is there another model that has a front and rear door?

This trap has both a front and rear door. It is able to trap any size of cats.
