I have not tried it but this is an mSata device and the spec says eMMC memory typically attached directly to the board so different interface type.

Q: Will this fit lenovo carbon X1 1st gen?

No the drive required needs to be a 2280, from watching a teardown video it seems to require SATA connection but with a different pin-out.

Q: Would this fit a Gemini laptop

No, i think you will need a sata SSD that is M.2 2242
