Q: Can I wear it as a hat?

No this is quite heavy. It is an awesome decoration, but can not be a hat.

Q: Does it have mounting brackets on the back?

Yes, there is a metal strip with a hole in it in each horn. You put a screw or nail in in what you are mounting it to and push the skull onto the screws or nails.

Q: I'm also interested in the piece but curious about how big it is? Especially since one review says it was smaller than anticipated. Can anyone help?

Hi ray,I've measured the skull and measurements are (approximately)as follows:Length is 23 cm without the horn and 30 cm including the horns.Width is 12 cm (approximately) without horns and 46 cm from the furthest point to the furthest point including the horns...
