Q: How many cupcake stands does it come with

This is only for one cupcake stand. It can hold about a 1.5 dozen cupcakes.

Q: Can you take top tent part off? I have a dr Seuss theme, not circus.

No it is all on piece. It comes in three sections but the top is one section. But it is sturdy and it held the cupcakes well. Maybe you might want to paint it all a different color to match your theme.

Q: How many cupcakes does it hold?

About 24 standard cupcakes. Four on the top tier, 8 on the second tier, and 12 on the bottom. Some icing touched the stand and was difficult to clean off after the party. It might be a one-time use item due to the material used to make the stand. However, all of the circus cupcakes looked really cute on the stand! Party guests really liked the display.
