Toddler swimmer
I previously gave this product a review of a 4 and feel like I need to come back and give it a better rating. I’ve now gave it a five. At first my grandson seemed to fall to the right or left with this on in the pool and even thought it kind of keep him up, he did not know how to kick and hold himself up straight. After using it for two months, it is now working wonderfully. He is a small 18 month old now around 20 lbs. I would recommend this as a great first flotation device when they are too small for water wings.

Fit
We found the swimvest impossible to tighten enough to stop it from floating up. We tightened the strap that runs between his legs tighter...and that helped somewhat but now he's complaining about his bottom hurting and it is chafed considerably.

Taught my 3 year old how to swim
Taught my 3 year old how to swim in about a month. Was a great purchase and we are so happy we tried it. Just try and remove the floats quickly so they don’t get too used to it. We removed one float every 2-3 days once he got the hang of being able to move around the pool wearing the floatie.

Not good for almost 2yr old
I bought this for my son who is 20 months old. It does not work well for him. It keeps riding up and causes him to basically face plant forward into the water. Maybe he is just too young for it? Did not work well for us.

Not Durable
The plastic clip that holds the bottom strap broke after 2 very short uses, its flimsy and cheap. Find another swim vest.
