Q: Could the end of the hose be pointed up with a pop up?

The hose off of the drainage tray is very small…. Not the size of a downspout extension hose. It is only around 1.5-2.0” in diameter. The force of water going through it would probably make it come out of the ground if you forced it to go vertical above the ground.

Q: Can you install the pipe underground and terminate with a pop up emitter? Or is the pipe too flimsy?

I didn't place the hose underground. But, the hose is pretty durable and should be able to work with an attached pop up emitter.
