How does this differ from your "zinc bar" and "zinc therapy" products and in which situation would you use each?

We strive to offer cleansing choices. Pyrithione zinc works. Period. There's no wrong decision when it comes to buying a DermaHarmony zinc product. We encourage you to sample our products until you find what you like best. The Zinc Therapy Soap (ASIN: B00MWB0ZGE in the blue & green doboy wrapper) is the original DermaHarmony zinc bar. It's the best-selling bar in the category. We intend to manufacture this bar without change into perpetuity (e.g. forever and ever). This is a traditional soap. It is as close to 'natural' or 'nature' as we can get with a zinc bar soap. The original formula comes in both a 1% and 2% zinc strength. The Face & Body Zinc Bar (ASIN: B0BFM9TSS8 in the red & blue carton) is the non-soap version of our Zinc Therapy Soap. Skin cleansers generally come in one of two types: soap-based and synthetic detergents, or syndets. The Face & Body bar is syndet. It is a mostly plant-based bar cleanser. The bars are stamped or embossed ‘Zinc Bar’ and the boxes include the ‘Zinc Bar’ graphic. For those interested in lower pH products, this is going to be your zinc bar. Also, for those around the world that have 'hard water' with lots of calcium and magnesium, this is your bar. Hard water degrades the cleansing performance of soap. Roughly 50% of America has hard water (it’s a long-standing problem and why the brand DOVE made by Unilever became popular years ago. Non-soap cleanser that use plant based ingredients are further away from 'nature'. We've done a good job choosing safe ingredients that lean to the 'natural' side. That said, non-soap cleanser or syndet bars are not as natural as traditional soaps. This bar is not going to satisfy folks that demand 'natural' products. Syndet bars are also much more expensive because the raw ingredients cost more. The DermaHarmony Shampoo Bars - of which we have 3 types (peppermint, tea tree, and unscented) - have conditioning additives for the hair. They can also be used on the face & body. Over the next several years you'll likely see more options in our Zinc Shampoo Bar line. We're slowly releasing new versions to add more choice. We also make/sell two zinc liquids – a soap and a syndet. Liquid soaps and shampoos have been ‘in favor’ since the 1980s. Bar soap production from the 80’s into the 20’s was in decline. Consumers cite a perception of bars as having more germs, leaving behind residue in the shower and a lack of convenience compared to liquid soaps. About half of America is no longer uses bars. This is all about to change (again). The global movement toward plastic-free packaging and eco products is in full swing. Solid soaps, cleansing bars and shampoos are taking back market share. In fairness, solid shampoo is rather new. These products can easily be stored and distributed in simple cardboard boxes or even in the absence of any packaging whatsoever, which would be impossible with liquid soaps and shampoos. Moreover, high quality syndet cleansing bars such as the DermHarmony zinc bars are concentrated products that last longer; thus, further decreasing their environmental footprint. both in terms of packaging and transportation costs, due to the reduction in size and weight.
