AMANKA Digital Audio Converter Optical Coaxial to Analog RCA L/R and 3.5mm Jack Audio Adapter with Toslink cable

I plugged this into the back of my Samsung tv with the output going to an old Yamaha surround amp. Every input going into the tv via HDMI and scart lead works brilliantly and I'm only using one input on my amp. A great well made product. I chose this model which came without the mains adaptor due to the power being supplied via my tv. I didn't want a cheap adaptor and if required I can purchase a decent one I know would be safe to use. Overall I cannot fault this product. Came with optical lead and usb lead. Very pleased

I have a hearing loop to listen to the TV without deafening every one. It can work with a small mike but that may be dislodged from the ideal position. The Samsung TV I now have doesn’t have an independent headphone socket but does have a digital output independent of the main speaker. This gadget works well to overcome my problem. There’s a very small delay sometimes gives an echo effect but this is tolerable

Good product does job well

This box means I can still use my pioneer stereo from the 90s and mission speakers which have the best sound and plenty of base on my brand new Samsung 55" TV via the digital optical input.

The media could not be loaded. The Audio convertor buzzes extremely on various channels making it impractical to use. I did write to the supplier and they kindly sent me a replacement very promptly in case the first one was faulty. I tried the new convertor, followed all the instructions, and the same loud buzzing/interference happened. I have contacted Amanka several times since for help or guidance and not heard a thing back despite reminders. I am therefore disappointed with the product and customer service.

I bought this to connect my TV which has a digital optical output to my stereo system which has auxiliary inputs only. First of all, I had to buy an Digital optical cable as my TV is not equipped with a tussling connection. The converter does an okay job of taking the audio signal from the TV and sending it to my stereo however the volume is nowhere near adequate enough for me to listen to the TV even with the stereo set to maximum volume. It seems that the digital signal relies on amplification and in order to make the sound quality work I would need to buy an additional amplifier or headphones amp, something I am on willing to do. Just beware this is a straightforward converter, it has no bells or whistles of any kind and it will not amplify only rely on the digital signal.

This was a fantastic little unit until I discovered today that the 5v power supply was not making a good enough connection to keep it powered! Tried several cables leaving the only other explanation to be the port... The DAC has not even moved from its spot next to my PS4 Pro so it’s breakage is unexplainable to me. I will be purchasing a product with a different style power port in the future.

Very easy to set up, and worked perfectly. I used this to enable a loop heating system to work with a Sky Q box.
