I finally decided to buy a portable safe to keep my firearm near my bedside. This HOLEWAR safe was just the ticket. Simple is design and function and without all of the bells and whistles this safe is beautiful in design with very little to fail when it is needed most. It opens for either my wife or me 100% of the time quietly and quickly. That fits my needs simply and perfectly. And the price ,50 bucks, was the cheapest safe on the market. Thanks you HOLEWAR. It's great, the fingerprint scanner works well, but a little tip: I found it helpful to register the same fingerprint twice. Doing that made it more reliable, so now it reads my print smoothly every time, which is reassuring when I need to get to my gun fast.That said, there are a few things about the design that could use some tweaking. For starters, changing the batteries is a bit of a hassle. The battery compartment is screwed onto the inside wall of the safe, and you have to unscrew it, then get it out with pliers or your fingernails to reach the batteries on the back. It’s not the most user-friendly process, especially since the batteries don’t last forever. If they die on you, you’re stuck using the key to get the safe open, which isn’t ideal.I really think it would help if there was a battery indicator light. Something that gives you a heads-up when the batteries are getting low, so you can change them before they die completely. That way, you wouldn’t have to worry about being caught off guard and having to scramble for the key.The safe uses four AAA batteries, which are easy to find, but they don’t last as long as I’d like. It might be better if it used bigger batteries, like C’s or D’s, or even a rechargeable lithium battery. That could give it a longer run time and make battery changes less frequent, which would be a nice improvement.Overall, the HOLEWOR Fingerprint Gun Safe has been dependable for me in terms of security and fingerprint accuracy. It could definitely be improved when it comes to battery management and making maintenance easier, but if you don’t mind changing the batteries every now and then or using the key as a backup, it’s a good option for keeping your firearms secure.

Total loss.Then the seller started emailing me every week: one week offering $20, then $40, then promising to send a new safe, then saying only $20 is possible. A complete charlatan, trying to bribe me into silence with empty promises and changing stories.This isn’t just a defective product — it’s a scam wrapped in customer harassment.Avoid this seller at all costs.

Our kiddos are getting older so we really needed something besides a tall shelf to keep the gun from easy access and keep our children safe. This is a great size, and easily fits my husband's 45. Setup is simple, and connecting your fingerprint to the safe is easy. I love that the fingerprint access allows you to quickly open the safe if you need to retrieve your gun quicker. I have tried the fingerprint as well, just to make sure it works and it does! It's also nice that it's small enough to easily place in a nightstand drawer for quick access, but still be safely put away.

I was looking for something that only used fingerprint biometrics with a backup key and this fit the bill perfectly! It was a great price too although I think it had gotten cheaper since I purchased it. Also I wish the key was not a circle key as those are easily replicated. The interior is perfect and the light on the inside is a great added feature although if you could control how long the light stays on would be a major improvement. This also brings me to my only gripe about this safe. The beep can’t be turned off! If I need to quietly and discreetly open the safe that is thrown right out the window. My daughter actually says it wakes her up in the morning if I open it at 6:30 am which is frequently when I’m opening it to get ready for work. Other than that it is a beautiful safe with great function

First the good part. The gun box looks very well made. The steel is heavy gauge and feels very secure. The inside is lined with foam all around, so no worry about scratching the gun or whatever else you may want to keep in there.The fingerprint scanner works well. I was very skeptical at first, but so far it's been working perfectly. Opens every time for my fingerprint. It also comes with the separate key, so no worries about not being able to open the box if the battery dies.The top cover hinge is spring loaded, so as soon as it unlocks, the lid pops open, giving you full access inside. The light inside come on every time the box opens. It's bright enough to let you see the contents without being blinding.Now the bad part. The enclosed batteries were DOA. Thankfully, I had some fresh batteries on hand. The screwdriver that came with it is kind of cheesy. It looks like it is more likely to strip the screw. But it is a standard #2 Phillips, so very common screwdriver size. The bottom of the box is not perfectly flat. It wobbles slightly on a flat surface. But some cheap rubber stick on feet took care of that small issue.Overall, it's an excellent box for a very reasonable price. I was a little skeptical at first about buying it, but I'm glad I did. It works much better then my old box, and looks much better as well. Definitely would recommend it.

Very satisfied with this gun safe. When it arrived I was surprised how heavy it is and how sturdy it was built. Love that you can use your finger prints to open it with the option of a back up key. The inside is lined with a nice layer of cushion and the gun lays nicely in there. The fact it’s portable and we can take while wetravel and don’t have to worry about ours kids being able to get a hold of the gun is a stress reliever.
