Q: I would imagine this works great on porcelain coated grates. But what about cast iron grates?

The Q-Swiper Grill Cleaning Wipes work on cast iron grates and are safe and effective to use on all grill grate surfaces. To clean cast iron grill grates you need to the swipe in the direction of the grill grates and not across the grates.

Q: Can these be used on a hot grill?

No, the Q-Swiper Grill Cleaner is designed for cool grill cleaning. The moisture in the Q-Swiper Grill cleaning wipe will dry out on a hot grill. It works great on a cool grill before you fire up and cook.

Q: What chemicals are on the wipes? Do you have to wipe down the grates after us use it to get any chemicals off?

The wipes are moistened with all recognized food contact safe cleaning agents and preservatives. The ingredients have been reviewed by UL (independent 3rd party) to verify only recognized food contact safe ingredients have been used. So you do not have to wipe down the grill grates after using the Q-Swiper Grill Cleaning Wipes. Use the Q-Swiper on a cool grill before you start your BBQ.

Q: Are the wipes certified kosher by any chance?

No don't see anything on the package about that. But I can tell you they work glad I purchased the cleaner.
