One of the best books for waves and oscillations. Written by an indian author in simple language with a number of solved problems. If you have trouble understanding H J Pain then this is the book to go for.

It seems the book is photocopied, there is too much misprinting in the book

One of the best books for beginners. The book is written in simple and lucid language. You can refer the book even if you have very little understanding about this subject as it introduces almost everything from ground zero. Mathematical derivations are done in an intuitive way. Solved as well as similar unsolved problems are given in the book. Exercise questions also good. I found that it has a feel that the book is written by some foreign author due to it’s presentation. Book and page quality is good.There are little drawbacks: It has errors in some derivations but you can figure that out. No solutions to unsolved problems are given and only answers which sometimes has mistakes (It’s not actually a drawback). End chapter problems are not very high level but good at BSc level.Ignoring this drawbacks I would recommend to any beginner.PS: I had received a damaged copy with a torn page so had to exchange and order. Be sure to check all pages.

when you purchase this book in around 450 then book is good otherwise you should not buy this. Book ka content accha hai bss price hamesha jyada rahta hai isliye maine 3 months wait Kiya tha then 450 me mili finally .....
