This thing plays for quite a while on 4 AA batteries. It comes with a USB power cord, but the option to use AA batteries is great, especially as an emergency radio.I didn't have the best luck with FM reception indoors. For comparison, I have an FM tuner with one of those low-cost t-wire FM antennae, and it receives more channels.There is a lot of internet radio stations you can tune in to over WiFi, so that makes this pretty interesting. I also like using it as a Spotify speaker, controlled from the Spotify app.The sound quality is reminiscent of a desktop radio from a previous era. It is very clear, and spoken word is easy to discern. It is easy to listen, even at low volumes, but it does suffer from poor low-end response. Great for speech content though, like sports radio or podcasts. You can pair to it as a Bluetooth speaker.It is light and easy to carry around because it is not very large.The interface is a little clunky, but functional. Although not entirely intuitive, it certainly gets more familiar and easier to work with the more you use it. There are no tone controls, just volume.It has a clean, simple aesthetic, which is also reminiscent of another era, but does have a color screen to keep it modern.The value of this unit seems pretty good. It offers a whole lot of content in the form of internet radio stations, but if you want better sound, at least it has a mini/3.5mm headphone jack output, so you can hook up to something else.

So, this radio is pretty nice, over all. It has its good points and bad. It is great for listening to FM radio but they forgot AM? On the job site, all the guys listen to AM talk radio. Luckily, most of the stations can be found under internet radio broadcasts. I really bought this to take fishing with me so I could listen to Spotify, but it doesn't work like that, you have to go to your computer, phone or tablet and send it to the box, which just makes it a Bluetooth speaker box which is crap. I have Spotify on my phone already so why bother with the box at that point? The DAB doesn't do anything because in the US we use HD Radio, a worthless feature. This box really shines with the internet radio, however, to use it, you have to be connected to the internet so hopefully you have a hot spot feature on your phone. Couple that with the fact that searching for stations or podcasts is so time consuming and a PITA, it's not even worth it. The sound quality, well, for the size of this radio they could have put some nicer speakers in it, the sound is pretty bad, equivalent to 1" cheap speakers, but they are 2.5" cheap speakers. The other nice thing about this box is that it will act as a Bluetooth speaker system, unfortunately, the speakers aren't that great. Over all, its a nice box for the garage to listen to music on your favorite station where sound quality doesn't matter. So, again, it's okay, but nothing special, not what I hoped for.

After using this internet radio for several days I will say it’s frustrating at first to use the unit as the controls take some getting used to. Once you get use to it, it works very well! I was able to connect both my phone and tablet to the unit via Bluetooth and stream music with no issues. FM seems to work well. I appreciate the telescopic old school antenna it has, and in addition you can add just regular batteries to the unit are a big plus in my eyes. I was able to connect to several internet radio stations all over the USA with little or no effort. As far as sound quality goes, it’s not bad, but it’s not “Audiophile” quality but it’s the best I can expect for about 6 watts. I’m not disappointed with anything concerning the product. The unit does have an additional jack for adding additional speakers/headphones. I did not try the podcasting features, and do not use Spotify, so no comment on those two features. Streaming from other services did work well. As far as DAB, I do not have that in the area I live so cannot comment on that feature either. The unit is very portable and looks and feels nice overall. The shipping was very fast. I feel like on a camping trip, or in a bedroom or small office, it’s just about perfect for those scenarios. I do wish it had a “line in” jack for devices without Bluetooth. Overall I can say this is a great product.

This does not take a SD card and has not use but hooking up to your internet and probably taking your data!
