Q: Can i attach it to my timbales?? Or is it only for snares??

These are pretty much for any drums, although the M80 is probably best on a snare drum. They have smaller versions that work great on toms and would probably be great for timbales, too.

Q: Does this work on die-cast hoops?

Yeah, it’s pretty adjustable. It can “grab” the hoop edge a few ways.

Q: Can this be mounted to a snare resonant/side head? Or just the batter?

Due to the design it kind of relies on gravity to keep the muffler working correctly and it attaches itself to the rim. I would say that it is best suited for “batter side” only.

Q: Has anyone tried using 2 (two) of these on a snare drum? At church, we're trying to lower snare volume significantly & turn up the other mic'd items.

I think using a Big Phat Snare Drum Ring would accomplish this much better. It is a simple heavy "zero ring" type of thing which lowers and focuses the volume and attack of the drum. You can even get the Big Phat Snare Drum rings in 12", 13" & 14" and some have no center hole if you really need volume reduced significantly.
