Does this contain taurine? Not sure what "fully reacted" means.

Thank you for your question. All magnesium supplements combine magnesium with another substance such as a salt, an acid, or an amino acid providing different amounts of elemental magnesium. We use citrate and two forms of amino acids, taurine, and glycine, as our carriers, so yes, there is a small amount of taurine in the product, and its role is to aid in the uptake of magnesium. The process for manufacturing fully reacted magnesium products involves the reaction of magnesium with its 'carrier' rather than just mixing the two (known as buffering or blending). Fully reacted magnesium products have significant advantages over buffered or blended magnesium products. Firstly, fully reacted magnesium products DO NOT contain poorly absorbed magnesium oxide (which is often used in buffered and blended products to boost the magnesium label claim but not declared in the nutritional information). Secondly, and most importantly, the bioavailability of fully reacted magnesium is significantly superior to non-reacted magnesium. High-risk allergenic materials are clearly identified as allergens on all work in progress labels and the batch manufacturing record and a full clean down is carried out after any processing involving these materials.
